Another year and we're back at the beautiful Queens Park in Cheshire to provide a huge outdoor PA system for the fireworks extravaganza 2019.
With over 10,000 people in attendance on the other side of the lake (See photo above) this is a unique challenge, especially when the system has such a small amount of room to fit around the pyro.
We took a new approach this year with two individual towers of PA in a V configuration to cover the incredibly wide and varied site: to everyones delight the system did an amazing job and for the first time the whole bank could clearly hear throughout the whole performance.

DD Music Group were brought in to provide audio system support and engineering for US Ska punk legends Reel Big Fish at the amazing o2 Academy Leeds.
With a D&B J-Series FOH this was a great sounding show.
If you're a venue in need of audio or lighting support, or engineers for your shows give us a call on 01270 581974 and we'd love to help.
DD Music Group were in Sheffield back in November working with the USA sensation Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown when they came to town supporting AIRBOURNE.
We were drafted in to look after the on stage monitors for Tyler and the band as well help the touring crew from Airborne with their show.

Earlier in 2019 we were commissioned by Crewe Town Council to design a bespoke custom audio install for the municipal square where all of the town's events are held.
The brief was to design and deploy a high powered audio system that could cover all 360 degrees of the event space whilst being discreet. The system had to be able to cope with all types of event throughout the year and also be capable of being installed over a long period of time throughout the Christmas season to aid the projection mapping show on the squares feature building for three weeks in Winter.
Our team gladly accepted the challenge and went on to design a system that has blown away all expectations. Incorporating custom fabricated steel brackets and a large distributed point source system consisting of 14 boxes.
The system has changed the sound of events in Crewe and is a first for towns like this in the area!

If you're not aware of the Macc Lads and their reputation in the UK we highly recommend you look them up.
These guys were the rudest, crudest and darn right drunkest band to come out of the north of England and if their packed out show at Sheffield Academy is anything to go by, they might still be!
Our head engineer and director Sam was brought in by Tech manager Paul Glave to mix monitors for the Macc lads and their support.
Having been a fan of the bands music thanks to a biker friend; Sam was looking forward to this show, and not just because of the Martin Audio LE1500 wedges that make up the venues monitor package.
The venue it's self has what can only be described as a behemoth of a PA system; featuring 9 boxes per side of Next line array with 12 duel 18" subs! this thing has enough bass to wipe out a small army.
As with any Macc Lads show their comedic lyrics and masterful punk sounds encourage the crowd to launch as much beer as possible at the stage (They even have a scoreboard for each city they visit). With a great amount of foresight however all of the gear was successfully covered up and survived without a single drop getting in the places it shouldn't..... Sam however didn't quite make it out so dry and whilst repositioning a mic mid show had the best part of a pint soak his trousers. (Better luck next time Sam!)
It was a pleasure to work with the band and hopefully DD Music Group and Sam will be seeing them again very soon!
The music of The Clash is arguably some of the most influential in Brittish punk and rock history; London Calling are a 5 piece band dedicated to keeping the music of The Clash alive in a raucous and energetic tribute to the band that white their namesake.
Our engineer and director Sam was brought in by the Academy Music Group to run the sound for this packed out show at the Arts Club in Liverpool.
The brand new FOH console at the venue is the powerful Allen & Heath D-Live C1500; freshly installed in September 2019 with a DM48 mix rack on stage this has contributed to a significant upgrade in the venues tech offering.
PA consists of two hangs of Turbosound line array which tech manager Matt Dutton and assistant Matt Howard have done a great job of tuning and realigning during the recent upgrade works.
A great venue in a great city; we always look forward to visiting this place!
