On Tour With: Broken Witt Rebels "OK Hotel Tour" 2021/22.
Broken Witt Rebels are a band that have really got their head in the game; after their first album shot them into the hearts of audiences around the world, they came back and released OK Hotel, with tracks becoming favourites on BBC Radio Two and "Take It" having featured on the soundtrack to blockbuster racing game DIRT 5. Now the pandemic is calming down and tours are back on the road, DD Music Group are proud to be handling their production requirements.
UK and Europe
The first leg of the Broken Witt Rebels tour takes place across the UK and Europe in Dec 2021 and after a brief break for Christmas resumes in Jan 2022 to complete the 23 date run, from their hometown of Birmingham to venues in Cities such as Hamburg and Dublin.
For this tour DD Music Group are providing FOH control package in the form of a MIDAS M32 digital mixing console which connects via AES50 using CAT6 shielded ethernet to what we have dubbed "The Fridge".
This is a large wheeled case designed specifically to tour this show into the size of venue the band will be playing; containing stereo Sennheiser G4 IEM systems for all four members and an X32 rack for mixing them; Plus compartments housing playback racks, a laptop running live drum samples from the record and all of the bands line systems.
"The Fridge" makes it super efficient for us to roll into a venue and setup in a small amount of time, everything is pre-cabled into looms and the whole show is self sufficient and can be up and running in just 30 minutes.
We are also providing the band with a FOH engineer and premium mic package, including mics from SE Microphones, Aston Microphones and AKG. As well as a Waves Multirack system for real time latency free plugin processing
Playback of extra production elements is running through Figure 53 QLab software alongside MIDI commands to automatically switch various pieces of equipment. All programmed by our team before hand.
For fly dates DD Music Group have designed a custom lightweight version of the bands touring rig that contains the essentials such as IEM systems and X32 Rack mixer which for these shows can also handle the front of house, connecting to a touchscreen laptop via ethernet for hands on control.
